Tesla Model 3 Tesla Model Software Update

Tesla has released over the weekend, building on the Spring Update with significant improvements. A key highlight is the enhancement of Adaptive Headlights for European cars equipped with matrix headlights, now allowing them to adapt to curves for better illumination. This follows previous updates, such as 2024.8, which added adaptive high-beam support, and 2024.2, which introduced adaptive high beams to the new Model 3. It's currently unclear if these improvements will be exclusive to matrix headlights or will also support the new Model 3.

To check if your Tesla has matrix headlights, look for a large, round projector dome on the outer edge of the headlight. Another method is to run a stock light show facing a wall; if the Tesla logo appears, you have matrix headlights. In North America, adaptive headlight support is still pending due to legislative and testing issues. The US recently approved adaptive headlights, and Tesla is working on implementation, while Canada has allowed them since 2018, as has Australia.

Tesla continues to enhance its Arcade functionality, adding local leaderboards at Superchargers in Beach Buggy Racing 2, allowing drivers to compete while charging. Players can use a controller, touchscreen, or the vehicle's steering wheel, with Cybertruck's steer-by-wire system preventing actual wheel movement during gameplay. Update 2024.20 also introduces an updated Autopilot Strike system, suspending users after five strikes but now removing a strike for every 7-day period without infractions. Additionally, improvements to HVAC performance in hot weather aim to cool down the cabin faster and more quietly.
